Immediate dentures are made to be inserted on the day your natural teeth are extracted. To have a traditional denture made after extractions, you would need to wait for the bone and gums to heal, which can take several months, and for that time, you would be toothless.
Immediate dentures need to be pre-planned with a dentist. A dental prosthetist can make the denture before extraction, and the dentist will insert the denture on the day of extraction.
As changes will occur due to the healing process, the denture will become ill-fitting. Standard practice is to have the denture relined six months after insert.
